Minutes of the ISPRS WG II/5 committee meeting

One year after the last committee meeting we met again at the 6th International Workshop on Multidimensional & Mobile Data Model (ISPRS WGII/5 workshop) in Malaysia. Committee members present at the meeting: Alias Abdul Rahman (Chair), Christopher Gold (Co-chair) and Pawel Boguslawski (Secretary).

The workshop was organized by Professor Alias Abdul Rahman at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Johor. During this event we had an opportunity to talk to people from all over the world who are interested in 3D and mobile GIS. Due to growing interest in 3D topology we enlisted new participants into our 3D Topology Group (established in 2008), as well as into WG II/5. We hope to have a chance to expand our groups at future workshops in China or Turkey, which are being considered.

Early this year François Anton joined our working group. He is an Associated Professor at Technical University of Denmark. He organized an ISPRS sponsored conference, the 6th International Symposium on Voronoi Diagrams in Science and Engineering, in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 23-26 June 2009.

We created a new webpage to be a repository of papers, books and links that could be interesting for our 3D Topology group. Users will be able to upload new papers and suggestions to the content of the repository. The webpage will be accessible shortly at: www.voronoi.com/3DTopologyGroup/
